Orelha’s Story

Orelha was more than a beloved dog on a beach in Brazil. For nearly ten years, he was a cherished part of the community—a familiar face who was fed, protected, cared for, and loved by countless people. He may not have had one official family, but he belonged to everyone who knew him.

In January 2026, Orelha was found badly injured after reportedly being brutally tortured by six teenagers. He later died from his injuries. His story reached far beyond Brazil. People around the world demanded answers, called for justice, and raised their voices for stronger protections for animals. Orelha’s life—and the questions surrounding his brutal and senseless death—cannot be forgotten.

I created this pink coconut candle in Orelha’s memory with a heart full of love and grief. As I worked, tears fell because I kept thinking about the life he lived, the people who cared for him, and the suffering he endured. Every detail was created to honor his gentle spirit and help carry his story forward. This candle is vegan and cruelty-free, made without animal testing or animal-derived ingredients, because honoring Orelha also means choosing compassion in every step.

At the Emmys Luxury Lounge, Orelha took Hollywood by storm. It was deeply moving to see celebrities connect with his story, recognize his importance, and stand behind the message that every animal deserves compassion, safety, and love.

Orelha’s story is a reminder that one life can touch millions—and that every voice raised for animals can help create change.
